The Magical Mural Tour will see 4’ x 8’ pop-up murals all around Downtown Rochester!    The Tour begins on September 1 and will continue through September 30. \nWHAT IS THE MAGICAL MURAL TOUR?\nThe Magical Mural Tour will feature 4’ x 8’ pop-up murals all around Downtown Rochester! The Tour begins on September 1 and will continue through September 30. \nWANT TO JOIN THE TOUR?\nWe are accepting applications from artists through Monday\, July 7. The Magical Mural Tour is open to all artists\, professional or just playing\, and all ages too.\nArtists must complete the online application and upload a rendering of your proposed mural.\nArtists whose designs are selected will be provided with a 4’ x 8’ plywood sheet for your “canvas”.\nA plaque will accompany each mural including the artist’s name and title of your mural.\nAll murals will be entered into Judges Choice & People’s Choice Contest\, with the winning mural artists each receiving a $250 cash prize! \nDrop off will be at the Downtown Collaboration Studio\, 431 S. Main Street.\nAll murals will be placed outdoors therefore weather resistant materials or protectants must be used.\nArtists must be available for touch ups that might be required during the Tour. \nTHE FINE PRINT\nArtwork CANNOT include political statements\, profanity\, nudity\, logos\, QR codes\,religious symbols\, libel\, slander or social disrespect. In short\, let’s BE KIND!\nIf your design is selected\, it becomes the property of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The DDA reserves the right to use your design for the purpose of promoting the event through\, but not limited to\, social media\, print advertising and media releases.\nYour Mural will be available for pick up once the Tour has concluded and the murals are taken down. The movie lot opens at 7:00 pm and the featured movie begins around 8:30 pm.  Admission is free! \n7/19 – Wicked! \nMovies in the Moonlight is BYOC (Bring Your Own Chairs)! You will not be able to drop your chairs early in the day. \nThe Little Donut Factory will be at each movie this year! They will be selling fresh hot mini donuts with a variety of toppings\, popcorn\, lemonade\, soda\, and bottled water. If you decide to bring your own goodies\, please remember no alcohol\, or glass containers are allowed in the movie lot.
