DESCRIPTION:Friday\, September 6: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.\nSaturday\, September 7: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.\nSunday\, September 8: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. \nSince 1965\, the Art & Apples Festival® has transformed the 30-acre Rochester Municipal Park into one of the nation’s top fine art fairs\, bringing together 200+ fine art exhibitors\, a wide range of food trucks and tents\, stage entertainment and art demonstrations\, and art activity stations for the three-day weekend.  \nThe Art & Apples Festival® is a program of Paint Creek Center for the Arts- a regional\, nonprofit art center located in downtown Rochester\, Michigan- and is the arts organization’s annual fundraiser. \nPCCA works year-round to advance its mission to celebrate and support creativity in our community by providing opportunities for all to learn\, create\, experience\, and appreciate the arts. \nPatrons are invited to experience everything the festival has to offer; from the artwork of our talented artists\, the sights and sounds of the Main Stage; to the fresh apple treats and mouth-watering food vendors found around the park\, and the creative experiences of the Kids Art Zone and Creation Station- there is something for everyone at the Art & Apples Festival®. \nA free shuttle bus to the festival and free parking available on Saturday (9 am – 8 pm) and Sunday (9 am – 4:30 pm) from Rochester High School (1361 Walton Blvd.) \nWhile the Art & Apples Festival remains a free event\, a $5 donation is suggested at entry to help support Paint Creek Center for the Arts (the organizing non-profit behind the Art & Apples Festival) as well as the other non-profits welcoming you at each entrance. \nWhile we’d love to meet your furry friend some other time\, pets are not allowed in the park during special events such as the Art & Apples Festival per the City of Rochester. Rochester Police will be on-site to enforce this ordinance for the safety and well being of all festival patrons and participants. The Art & Apples Festival draws a crowd of 60\,000-80\,000 people each year- that is a lot of eyes looking up at beautiful artwork and live music and not paying attention to your four-legged friend down on the ground.

Join us on Monday\, November 25th\, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm\, to celebrate Lagniappe’s 51st anniversary\, where “a little something extra” awaits all our valued patrons.  \nLagniappe\, a Creole word for “a little something extra\,” embodies the spirit of giving and appreciation. It’s the perfect way for the merchants of Downtown Rochester to express their gratitude to the community for their support throughout the year.  \nOnce again\, the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA)\, in collaboration with City of Rochester officials and MDOT\, will close Main Street for the event. Main Street will be closed from Second Street to University Drive from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Detour signs will guide traffic around Rochester and Rochester Hills. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking\, and due to the large crowds\, we kindly ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home.  \nAs part of the evening’s festivities\, the DDA will present “a little something extra” with the debut of The Big\, Bright Light Show\, sponsored by Fox Automotive. The program will kick off at 6:00 pm on stage located on the crosswalk of W. 4th Street & Main\, with the Mayor\, Channel 7\, and a special guest appearance by Santa Claus\, sponsored by Viviano Flower Shop. At 7:00 pm\, The Big\, Bright Light Show will illuminate Downtown Rochester\, followed by a fireworks display\, also sponsored by Fox Automotive.
