I had the pleasure of chatting with Danielle Reyes from Black Cat Beanery, a cat cafe in Lake Orion!
We had such a fun and informative conversation! Danielle shared that all of the cats at the beanery come from the same rescue and arrive spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Even better… every cat at Black Cat Beanery is adoptable!
At any given time, there are about 15 cats enjoying the space, and visitors are encouraged to stop by, spend time with them, and help keep them socialized. With a few adoptions happening each week, it’s clear these cats are finding loving homes. Danielle also explained that the adoption process is quick and easy, making it simple for the right match to happen.
Black Cat Beanery also supports its mission through the Black Cat Society, a nonprofit organization that accepts donations to help cover the costs of cat care. The café portion of the business is for-profit and features really cool merchandise, so there are plenty of ways to support them. You can even volunteer to help out and be part of the experience!
